This is a CH25 Lounge Chair, initially designed by Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen in 1950. This example dates to the 2010s. The design has remained in continuous production since its introduction, and it reportedly takes a skilled craftsman 10 hours to complete one seat and backrest by hand. The chair has a solid oak frame that is lacquered in glossy black, and has a handwoven natural paper cord seat and backrest. It is guaranteed as an original Carl Hansen example, having come to us from the home of a former Carl Hansen dealer.
This chair measures 28.7 inches deep, 27.9 inches wide, and 28.7 niches high. It has a seat height of 13.7 inches. The cord and the frame are both in good condition, lest for a bit of wear on the arms of the piece. Please see photos.
